Special cases are just that special, not normal

My suggestion is like the blog - use a profile form.
In one place you can setup the app and have the info used for agents, macros and composite apps.

This solution fits the current setup I use to control interdependencies in a 20+ db application.

I never hard code a filename or path into code, it's too hard to go change them - if you can even remember where they all are.
